Welcome to our 2 family homes located in an enclosed garden of 3 hectares planted with coconut trees, palm trees, mango trees, cashews, lemon trees, cinnamon apple trees, cherry trees, between the Iguarapé river and the ocean that can accommodate up to 9 people for Villa Anahi and 10 people for Villa Gaia. This exceptional location will preserve your tranquility while remaining 3 minutes walk from the center of the village. The beach is a little further, about 800 m, or 10 minutes on foot along the sandy paths of the village or 2 minutes by taxi-quad.

About Atins

Kitesurfing!

Listed among the most beautiful spots in the world by the specialized press, Atins is a kitesurfer's paradise. The conditions are ideal from July to December, with a constant side-on wind between 15 and 30 knots. Beginners will appreciate the huge interior lagoon on calm water between 2 large sandbanks, ideal for freestyle and speed.
Those with more experience can venture into the ocean, and play with the waves between 1.5m and 2.5m depending on the tides. Do not miss the magnificent downwinds departing from Atins, Caburé or going up the coast from Caburé by quad to Paulino Neves.

The beach, the weather

Atins has a fine sandy beach that stretches all along the village. The tide is strong and the landscape changes a lot. At low tide, sandbanks form, natural pools appear, ideal for children. At high tide, the beach almost disappears, and watch out for the current!
In this coastal region of Northeastern Brazil, along the Route of Emotions that includes the states of Maranhão, Piauì e Cearà, temperatures vary between 25° and 35° all year round and the climate is hot and semi-humid. . The wind is present but not too strong, it allows you to never suffer from the heat. The rainy season is from mid-January to the end of May, but with lots of sunshine all the same (it rains a lot for 2 or 3 hours and then a blazing sun appears all day).

Trips & Excursions

Many excursions are available to you. Ask your host to advise you and tell you about the small local agencies that will be able to organize everything for you. Do not miss: a walk in the Lençóis, a boat trip to see the red ibises in the evening at sunset, a horseback ride, a visit to the village of Mandacaru (impressive view from the top of the lighthouse), the little monkeys of Vassouras, Caburé beach: 25km of fine sandy beach on the Atlantic Ocean (if you like waves and deserted beaches!).

Lencois Maranhenses National Park

The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park (in Portuguese “the sheets of Maranhão”) is a unique place in the world. Over approximately 1500 km2, wedged between the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the equatorial forest to the south, stretch endless rows of pristine white sand dunes dotted with crystal clear water lagoons.
From May to September, the imprisoned tropical rains have created huge pools of fresh, green or blue water in which you can bathe after a walk or horseback ride. A unique experience ! Incredible sunsets, deserted beaches, breathtaking full moon walks, you won't soon forget the Lençóis!

You can venture there alone or in a group, knowing that tourist cars are prohibited in the Park, you will need to take a local guide. You can also go for a two-day trek, or more for sports enthusiasts, in the infinity of dunes and lagoons and sleep with locals in one of the oases of the Park.
